Nvidia shifts production from China AI chips to Vera Rubin platform
Nvidia will stop producing AI chips for China and focus its manufacturing capacity on its next-generation Vera Rubin platform as uncertainty over U.S.-China export restrictions persists. It shifted production slots at foundry partner TSMC from the H200, previously destined for China, to Vera Rubin, a report said. The move reflects limited foundry capacity and expectations that H200 sales volumes in China would be constrained by possible U.S. purchase limits.
