LG Uplus hosts \'Legoland RUN\' for 4,000 long-term customers

LG Uplus said on Saturday it held a hands-on event called \"Legoland RUN\" for long-term customers. The programme, held on Friday at Legoland Korea in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, invited about 4,000 participants who are membership VIP or above and have used its service for at least five years. Participants ran about 5 km and received free one-day passes and commemorative gifts. The company said it is expanding long-term customer benefits and experiences.

SK hynix, climate ministry step up public-private water positive cooperation

SK hynix will start a water positive project to restore the aquatic ecosystem of the Namdaecheon river in Yangyang, Gangwon Province. The company signed an MOU with the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, Yangyang County, Korea Water Resources Corp and Korea Environment Corp for an ageing weir improvement project. The initiative will run from 2026 to 2037 and aims to secure river flow and restore fish habitats.

Korea carriers step up experiences and exhibition perks for May family outings

South Korea\'s three mobile carriers are rolling out a series of May events aimed at families, including forest experience programs, message banner promotions and exhibition offerings. SK Telecom is offering applications for a long-term customer forest outing and a free add-on service for parents passing used phones to children aged 13 or under. KT is running a message banner event and keeping a telecom history exhibition space open on holidays. It also strengthened network checks at about 500 sites. LG Uplus launched a mobile app for its IPTV service and plans a Lego-run event on May 16.
