Battery industry profit recovery comes into view as lithium prices rise
South Korea\'s battery industry is seen entering a broader uptrend from the first quarter as lithium carbonate spot prices more than doubled to the low $20s per kg. Tesla previews 2026 first-quarter earnings with focus on core business growth slowdown
Tesla will report first-quarter 2026 results after the market close on April 22 local time, with attention focused on slower demand and inventory pressure in its auto business. The company produced 408,386 vehicles and delivered 358,023, below expectations, with production exceeding sales by more than 50,000. Wall Street expects revenue of about $22.3 billion and adjusted EPS of $0.37, while Tesla’s internal consensus is lower.

Chabi enters California electric vehicle charging market
Chabi, a fast-charging electric vehicle services company, has entered the U.S. energy market in California. It signed an agreement with SPT, a clean energy, energy storage and AI energy group, to build ultra-fast EV charging infrastructure and supply integrated energy solutions. The partners set a three-stage roadmap through 2030, targeting more than 3,000 chargers. Chabi also opened a U.S. office and warehouse in Riverside.
