Ecopro BM signs MOU with Samsung SDI on all-solid-state battery materials cooperation

Ecopro BM said on Monday it signed a memorandum of understanding with Samsung SDI to cooperate on developing materials for all-solid-state batteries. The two companies will conduct joint research and development with the goal of commercialising sulfide-based all-solid-state batteries in 2027, and plan to build a cooperation system covering quality evaluation and mass-production readiness from an early stage. Samsung SDI will handle cell development and manufacturing technology, while Ecopro BM will develop key materials.

Ecopro brings forward executive reshuffle, promotes Choi Sang-woon and Park Jong-hwan to president

Ecopro brought forward its annual executive reshuffle by two months and carried out promotions and appointments on Sept. 30, the company said on Oct. 1. Choi Sang-woon and Park Jong-hwan were promoted to president and named CEO-designates of Ecopro and Ecopro HN, respectively. Song Ho-jun was named CEO-designate of Ecopro BM. Ecopro said the move aims to strengthen external cooperation, diversify businesses and improve execution of next year’s plans.

Ecopro HN wins more environmental solution orders in U.S. and Taiwan

Ecopro HN said on Sept. 14 its cumulative orders disclosed this year total 191.4 billion won, about 136 percent of its 2025 sales of 141.1 billion won. It said orders for greenhouse gas reduction equipment followed a Taiwan LNG power plant contract and deals with Samsung E&A, Hoffman in the United States and Micron. The company highlighted its catalyst-based low-temperature decomposition technology and set a goal to lift operations revenue to more than half of total by 2030.
