SK Shieldus to test control system breach response platform at EcoPro factory

SK Shieldus said on Sunday it will push ahead with a proof-of-concept at battery company EcoPro for a control system (OT/ICS) breach response platform that integrates the entire process from anomaly detection to analysis and response.

SK Shieldus plans to pilot a control system (OT/ICS) integrated breach response platform at EcoPro’s Pohang plant that can manage and respond to security threats in an integrated way. The platform, part of the Korea Internet & Security Agency’s (KISA) 2026 integrated security model development pilot project, will be developed in cooperation with Mainsoft, Amzinn and Senstone. It integrates authentication and access management, threat detection and response functions to help protect industrial environments overall.

SK Shieldus stressed it secured both operational stability and response accuracy by applying a “non-intrusive” approach that allows security to be applied without changes to equipment or networks, and a HITL (Human-in-the-Loop) structure in which experts participate in the final judgment after detection.

An EcoPro official said the proof-of-concept will verify the platform’s performance and operational stability in an actual production environment and establish a control system (OT/ICS) security standard model that can be applied across various industrial sites. The official said the company will also review expanding its application to domestic workplaces based on the results.
