Musinsa appoints outside director Park Chang-geun

Musinsa said on Tuesday it appointed Park Chang-geun (박창근) as a new outside director at its 14th annual general meeting of shareholders held on March 31. The company said the move was intended to advance corporate governance and strengthen fashion expertise. Musinsa said it expects Park to contribute broadly to its push to become a global platform. With Park’s appointment, Musinsa has four outside directors on its 10-member board.

POSCO Future M sets up ESG committee to advance governance

POSCO Future M said it has moved to strengthen governance by creating new board-level committees, after securing anode material orders and diversifying its business amid external uncertainty. The company reappointed CEO Eom Gi-cheon at its annual shareholders\' meeting and outlined plans for proactive investment and broader customer and product portfolios. It also detailed anode material supply contracts, investments in Vietnam and Saemangeum, and moves into solid-state batteries and LFP cathode materials.

LG Electronics appoints Kang Soo-jin as board chair, Ryu Jae-cheol as sole CEO

LG Electronics appointed outside director Kang Soo-jin as chair of its board, the first time an outside director has held the role. The company said its board on March 23 approved her appointment and named Ryu Jae-cheol as sole chief executive officer. Kang is a Fair Trade and legal expert and a Korea University law school professor. The company said the change aims to bolster board independence and transparency.
