National Growth Fund to invest 250 billion won in NPU fabless Rebellion
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT and the Financial Services Commission said on March 26 they approved a 250 billion won direct investment from the Advanced Strategic Industries Fund into AI semiconductor fabless company Rebellion. The deal is the fourth first-phase mega-project under the \'K-Nvidia fostering\' initiative and the first to use direct equity investment. The capital will be provided via redeemable convertible preferred shares.

Science ministry, Financial Services Commission hold joint meeting on \'K-Nvidia project\'
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT and the Financial Services Commission held a public-private meeting in Seoul on March 17 to push the so-called K-Nvidia fostering project. The meeting discussed investment strategy using the National Growth Fund and ways to strengthen cooperation between the public and private sectors. Officials outlined plans to build an AI semiconductor ecosystem focused on low-power NPUs and shared funding plans, including investment of 10 trillion won this year in AI and semiconductors.

Tesla next-generation AI6 chip delayed again, robot and self-driving roadmap stumbles
Tesla\'s next-generation artificial intelligence chip, AI6, has been delayed by about six months due to delays in Samsung Foundry\'s 2-nanometre process, a report said. The delay is also affecting other customers on the same node, including South Korean AI chip startup DeepX. Tesla has a contract with Samsung Electronics worth about $16.5 billion to make AI6 chips in Texas through 2033, but the production timeline could slip further.
