Naver starts open beta for N Delivery FBN, expands to dawn and Sunday deliveries

Naver said on Wednesday it has started an open beta for its new logistics solution, N Delivery by Naver, or N Delivery FBN. The company aims to reduce Smart Store sellers’ logistics management burden while expanding delivery product categories and time slots for users. The service provides one-stop fulfillment support with partner logistics firms. Naver also plans to broaden eligible products and add dawn and Sunday delivery for FBN items, and streamline returns from August.

Coupang to triple purchases of Ugok green watermelons to expand market access

Coupang will triple its direct purchases of Ugok green watermelons, a specialty of Goryeong County in North Gyeongsang Province, and sell them nationwide through its Rocket Fresh dawn-delivery service. The company will expand purchases from about 5,000 melons last year to about 15,000 this year, it said on May 12. The move follows an agreement with the Goryeong County Office to increase purchases from about 500 local farms and broaden sales channels.

Kurly Q1 operating profit up 1,277 percent, steps up IPO roadmap

Kurly posted record quarterly results in the first quarter, supported by balanced growth across its businesses and logistics upgrades. Revenue rose 28.4 percent from a year earlier to 745.7 billion won. Operating profit surged 1,277 percent to 24.2 billion won, and net profit turned positive at 20.3 billion won. Gross merchandise value increased 29 percent to 1.09 trillion won. Kurly said it will step up its IPO roadmap.
