Naver said on Wednesday it will start an open beta service for its new logistics solution, "N Delivery by Naver," or N Delivery FBN. The company said it aims to reduce Smart Store sellers’ logistics management burden and to expand delivery product categories and time slots for users in earnest.

N Delivery FBN is a solution in which Naver and its partner logistics firms provide one-stop support for the entire fulfillment process after products are received into a logistics center.

When sellers use the solution, Naver supports complex operational processes such as inventory management, exchanges, returns and customer service. Naver Fulfillment Alliance (NFA) logistics firms handle product storage, outbound shipments and delivery.

Sellers can use fulfillment services conveniently within the Naver platform without separate contracts with logistics companies or system integrations. They can also check inventory, delivery and return information in one place. The company said this will lower logistics operating costs and management burdens, allowing small sellers that have lacked logistics know-how or staff to use fulfillment services more easily.

For consumers, delivery product categories and receiving time slots will become more diverse. The range of Smart Store products eligible for N Delivery will expand from daily necessities to fresh food, health food, and products for babies and children. Delivery time slots, which had been centered on same-day and next-day delivery, will also expand to dawn delivery and Sunday delivery for N Delivery FBN products only.

From August, return procedures are also expected to be simplified. Previously, users had to choose pickup methods and return addresses one by one. Going forward, a dedicated courier will automatically pick up items and a dedicated integrated returns center will provide fast support from inspection to return processing.

Naver plans to continuously upgrade the service by combining its logistics platform operating know-how, data analysis technology and the expertise of NFA logistics firms to provide users with a more accurate and reliable delivery experience.
