Augustus wins conditional U.S. approval for stablecoin-focused bank, eyes FX clearing
Augustus has received conditional approval in the United States to establish a stablecoin-focused bank, Cointelegraph reported on May 15. The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency conditionally approved Augustus Bank N.A. The company is pursuing a Dallas, Texas-based bank handling fully reserved stablecoins, AI-based compliance and automated back-office operations. Chief executive Ferdinand Davits said the bank could launch in a few months, once pre-opening conditions are met.

Tesla details robotaxi-only Supercharger buildout, barred to public
Tesla has applied for permits to build two robotaxi-only V4 Supercharger sites in Chandler and Mesa, Arizona, a first confirmed plan for charging infrastructure dedicated solely to autonomous vehicle operations. The sites would not be open to the public, unlike Tesla’s roughly 7,000 public Supercharger locations worldwide. The move follows a withdrawn February plan for a San Francisco charging hub and comes as Tesla expands robotaxi service beyond Austin.

Tesla robotaxi signals U.S. expansion, targets 70 percent of population
Tesla is expected to open its robotaxi service to general customers within two weeks and pursue an expansion plan covering 70 percent of the U.S. population. Tesla is operating the service in 15 to 20 major U.S. cities and is preparing to extend coverage beyond half of the population. Users are expected to hail autonomous vehicles via an app, initially using Model 3 and Model Y, with Cybercab and Cybervan increasing over the following months.
