Daedong said it held its 2026 Supplier Partnership Day on Tuesday, an annual event to share its business vision and direction and thank suppliers. It presented a mid- to long-term vision and this year’s operating direction aimed at securing sustainable competitiveness. The company outlined priorities by function, including manufacturing competitiveness, higher quality, stable production and supply, technology-based product development and stronger service capabilities. It also awarded 10 suppliers for performance.

Daedong is recruiting startups with AI and robotics-based agricultural innovation technologies to take part in its 2026 Future Agriculture Platform Open Innovation pilot support programme with the Daegu Center for Creative Economy and Innovation, it said on Thursday. Eligible firms must be less than 7 years old. Applications are due online by 4 p.m. on March 19. Two companies will be chosen after document and presentation reviews and will run an about eight-month verification and commercialisation project.
