Daedong said on Tuesday it held its 2026 Supplier Partnership Day. The annual event shares the company’s business vision and direction and expresses gratitude to suppliers. This year it focused on presenting a mid- to long-term vision and this year’s operating direction to secure sustainable competitiveness in a rapidly changing management environment.
Daedong presented this year’s business direction by key functions including procurement, quality, production, development and parts service. It outlined cooperation priorities with suppliers focused on strengthening manufacturing competitiveness, advancing quality standards, building a stable production and supply system, developing products based on technological competitiveness and strengthening service capabilities. It said it plans to solidify its strategic partnership with suppliers.
Daedong defined suppliers as key partners that create technology and competitiveness together, beyond being simple sources of supply. It presented a policy to advance cooperative ties from a mid- to long-term perspective. It plans to systematise its cooperation structure by expanding technology collaboration and raising quality and reliability, and to build a foundation for sustainable growth through joint participation from the early stages of development.
The event also included awards for outstanding suppliers that produced results over the year. Daedong selected 10 suppliers with strong performance across areas including quality, delivery and technology cooperation and presented plaques. Jinbu and Delix received the top prize. Samwoo Nonggi and Samsung Jeonggi received excellence awards, while Daeyang Industry, Daewook Cast and Dongjin Precision received division excellence awards. MCA Korea, Cheongwoo and Finia Delphi Automotive Systems were selected for merit awards.
