Netmarble Cultural Foundation wraps up 2026 national e-festival for students with disabilities

Netmarble Cultural Foundation said on Sept. 10 it has concluded the 2026 National e-Festival for Students with Disabilities, held on Sept. 8-9 in Hongcheon, Gangwon province. About 1,600 special school students, teachers and parents attended after being selected through regional qualifiers involving about 3,000 participants from May to July. The festival featured 29 events, including 11 e-sports and 18 IT competitions, with 29 winning teams receiving awards.

Naver runs World Suicide Prevention Day campaign across main page, blog and Chzzk

Naver is running an online campaign for World Suicide Prevention Day across major services including its main page, blog and the live-streaming platform Chzzk. The company said it will display a commemorative banner on Sept. 10 and operate a public interest banner for Suicide Prevention Week with the Ministry of Health and Welfare and the Korea Suicide Prevention Center through Sept. 16. Naver also plans a user-participation writing campaign on its blog.

Boomerang employees rise in U.S. job market after quitting and returning

So-called boomerang employees, who leave a company and later return, are drawing renewed attention in the U.S. job market. With hiring weakening, companies are turning to former staff whose performance and cultural fit have already been tested. Data cited show boomerang rehiring has risen since 2024, and their share of new U.S. hires edged up from late 2023 to late 2025. Executives said rehiring remains selective, mainly favoring top performers who left on good terms.
