Korea Post will introduce various goods, including limited-edition stamp cards, to mark the issuance of a commemorative stamp for professional gamer 'Faker.'
The Ministry of Science and ICT's Korea Post said on Wednesday it will launch add-on products, including commemorative stamp cards and personalised stamps, to coincide with the issuance of the Faker commemorative stamp.
The new products include commemorative stamp cards, personalised stamps and personalised stamp cards. They feature Faker's key records and iconic moments to increase their collectible value.
The commemorative stamp card combines a stamp and a photo card and comes in metal and standard versions. The metal version is a special edition using two types of 1,000-won commemorative stamps, with sales limited to 507 units.
The standard version was made as photo cards using 8 of the 10 commemorative stamp designs. The front features the commemorative stamp, while the back includes a photo of Faker and his signature, and it will be sold at random.
The personalised stamp was produced to commemorate Faker's records and challenge process. The personalised stamp card combines a stamp made from the player's photo with a game skin matching the year the photo was taken.
The products will go on sale from Oct. 23 at Seoul Central Post Office on weekdays and at the Stamp Museum on weekends. They can also be purchased for 10 days from Oct. 23 at the League of Legends pop-up store at Lotte World Mall in Jamsil, Seoul.
Korea Post chief Park In-hwan (박인환) said, "I hope these commemorative stamp add-on products will provide an opportunity to newly experience the appeal and culture of stamps."
