JobKorea, an AI and data-based HR tech platform operated by WorkSphere, said on Tuesday it is recruiting participants for an offline event called the "JobKorea Backlog Clearance HQ," where people gather after work to finish tasks they have put off.

The company said the event was designed to help office workers wrap up after hours tasks that are easy to delay when working alone, such as work automation, drafting planning documents and personal projects.

The event will be run without lectures or presentations, with participants bringing their own tasks to complete. The company said it applied the "Admin Night" format, which has recently emerged among people in their 20s and 30s as a new gathering culture, for a night of clearing delayed work together.

JobKorea said the event will support office workers who want to apply AI to their work but have lacked a place to ask questions, so they can get help immediately. In an environment set up like a real workday from starting work to clocking out, participants selected as "employees" will share what they will finish that day in a meeting and then focus on individual work in two 40-minute sessions.

The event will be held on Nov. 6 from 7 p.m. at the Connect Lounge at WorkSphere's headquarters in Seoul. Those who want to participate must submit a "work plan" describing what they will complete that day through JobKorea's event page by Oct. 29.

Eun-hye Jeong (정은혜), head of the Insight Strategy Team at WorkSphere, said, "We planned this event by focusing on the point that tasks that are easy to put off alone can be finished together, and that adding AI to that can make it much more efficient." She added, "As a recruitment platform, JobKorea will continue to create opportunities for anyone to apply AI to practical work and build career competitiveness, based on the data it has accumulated and its AI technology capabilities."
