Johnson Controls sets thermal management design standards for gigawatt-scale AI data centres
Johnson Controls International on Tuesday launched a reference design guide series for 1 gigawatt AI data centres. The company said the guides systematically cover the full thermal management process and provide cooling architectures tailored to different computing densities, local environments and altitude conditions. The first release details water-cooled chiller plant design, with plans to expand to air-cooled and absorption chillers. The architecture supports both water- and air-cooled IT loads.

LGUplus to unveil \'One LG\' based AIDC strategy at MWC26
LGUplus said it will unveil at MWC 2026 a global top-level AI data centre strategy based on synergies with the LG Group. It will introduce technologies and next-generation operating plans for the Paju AI data centre under construction. The company will apply direct-to-chip liquid cooling with LG Electronics and high-performance UPS batteries from LG Energy Solution. It also plans to expand AI computing infrastructure and to roll out an AI-based DCIM system and a sovereign AI appliance.

LG Electronics targets North America with residential heating and cooling systems
LG Electronics unveiled a range of heating, ventilation and air conditioning solutions at AHR EXPO 2026 in Las Vegas, spanning residential, commercial and industrial applications. The company presented a unitary inverter heat pump lineup with a refrigerant leak detection sensor, expanded into hot water products including an ENERGY STAR-certified inverter heat pump water heater, and showcased an AI data center liquid cooling CDU. It also debuted U.S.-made rooftop units and displayed R32-based VRF products.
