SCK launches AutoCAD design diagnosis service to support AI and automation adoption

SCK, Autodesk’s South Korean distributor, launched an “AutoCAD Design Diagnosis Service.” The service analyses CAD-use environments and design processes through an online assessment that takes about five minutes. It provides a report covering user types, performance by area and improvement strategies. The diagnosis focuses on automation, scalability, mobility, collaboration and design expertise. SCK said users still lean toward file-based work despite wider AI and automation use.

Unity launches web-based no-code 3D editor Unity Studio

Unity on March 19 launched Unity Studio, a web-based editor that lets users create and share 3D content without coding. The company said the tool supports team collaboration and allows users to import 3D data via drag-and-drop to produce product demos, training scenes, tutorials and configurators. Unity said outputs can be shared across devices to shorten review and revision. The editor integrates with Unity Asset Manager and Unity Asset Transformer for CAD and BIM data.

Cloud collaboration must come first for AEC firms to adopt AI, Dropbox executive says

Dropbox is stepping up its push into the architecture, engineering and construction market, saying firms need to move data from on-premises systems to the cloud before adopting AI. Executives said demand is rising as project data surges, ransomware threats become constant and distributed work expands. Dropbox highlighted block-level storage, peer-to-peer transfers and long file restoration periods as differentiators, and cited examples in New Zealand and South Korea for its AI search tool.
