SCK launches AutoCAD design diagnosis service to support AI and automation adoption

SCK, Autodesk’s South Korean distributor, launched an “AutoCAD Design Diagnosis Service.”

The service analyses CAD-use environments and design processes through an online assessment that takes about five minutes, the company said. It does not stop at providing a simple score. It provides a report that includes user type definitions, performance diagnosis by area and improvement strategies.

The diagnosis focuses on 5 areas: work automation, scalability, mobility, collaboration and design expertise. It reviews overall use of automation functions, environments for remote work and cloud access, methods for file sharing and version control between teams, and use of advanced functions.

SCK launched the service based on its assessment that users still lean toward file-based work despite the spread of AI and automation.

A survey of about 5,600 global industry leaders conducted by Autodesk, titled the 2025 State of Design & Make, found 61 percent of respondents worldwide said it was difficult to find new hires with the right technical capabilities.

That was up 16 percentage points from the previous year. The share of respondents saying a shortage of skilled workers was a barrier to business growth was 58 percent, up 15 percentage points from a year earlier.

SCK assessed that non-standardised work methods, repetitive tasks and inefficient collaboration structures in small and mid-sized design organisations were weighing on productivity. It said there were many cases where the process of checking actual usage levels after adopting a solution and optimising it was not carried out sufficiently.

Lee Seung-geun (이승근), SCK’s chief executive, said, “It is difficult to explain design productivity issues with the tool itself alone, and we are in an era where how you use the tool determines the outcome.”
