Fasoo said on Thursday it released a new version of its data protection and management solutions that adds support for the National Network Security Framework (N2SF).
Fasoo said it is expanding its portfolio for N2SF, a key security task for government and public agencies, to accelerate its push into the public-sector N2SF market.
N2SF is a new security framework being pursued in place of the existing public-sector network separation policy to enable secure use of new technologies such as AI and cloud services. Fasoo is taking part in multiple N2SF pilot projects, including the "National Network Security Framework pilot demonstration for the pan-government common foundation for large-scale AI", to present and verify ways to implement N2SF. Based on this, Fasoo introduced new versions that add N2SF functions to its flagship data security solution, "Fasoo Enterprise DRM" (FED), and its personal data protection solution, "Fasoo Data Radar" (FDR).
Fasoo's FED is a hyper DRM that enables unified policy management across local and cloud environments. It protects various documents, including plain text, design drawings (CAD files), PDFs and images, across the entire lifecycle from creation to disposal. The new FED version supports linking the document classification (C/S/O) system to DRM documents to ensure policy consistency. It keeps the document classification (C/S/O) assigned in a work system unchanged even when downloaded, enabling control over document uploads to AI based on that classification.
FDR is a data identification and classification solution that identifies data holdings across all repositories, including Windows, Mac and file servers, and automatically classifies them. Through the new version, it supports identifying the company's data status based on N2SF classification criteria. It can add policies by classification and apply post-processing such as encryption or labelling.
Fasoo also said that at the end of last year it introduced data detection and control functions for N2SF as new-version features of its sensitive information management solution for AI use, "AI-R DLP". It also released a new version of its screen security solution, "Fasoo Smart Screen" (FSS), that enables different policies to be applied by N2SF classification.
Dong-hyun Ko (고동현), an executive director at Fasoo, explained that "N2SF is an essential gateway to shift the government's security paradigm and realise AI innovation, and the key is to apply differentiated security measures according to security classification." He said, "Fasoo will actively expand its portfolio for N2SF based on the technological capabilities and experience it has built leading the global data management and security market, and will strengthen its position in the public-sector N2SF market."
