D\'Live to co-produce travel programme with Japan\'s Chukai TV

Seoul-area cable TV operator D\'Live said on Tuesday it will co-produce a new travel programme with Japan\'s Tottori Prefecture cable TV operator Chukai TV. D\'Live said it visited Chukai TV\'s headquarters on June 10 to share media environment changes in the two countries\' cable TV industries and to conduct business and technology exchanges. The two sides discussed responses to an OTT-led media market and agreed to strengthen competitiveness through cooperation.

IITP to boost full-stack linking AI semiconductors and physical AI to respond to AX 2.0

South Korea\'s Institute for Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation (IITP) is strengthening full-stack competitiveness by linking AI semiconductors, physical AI and next-generation networks, it said. It aims to respond to the spread of agentic AI and physical AI in industrial sites in the AX 2.0 era. IITP outlined R&D and talent development plans, including support for AI semiconductor firms, 6G and satellite communications, cybersecurity initiatives, defence AX programmes and expanded AI training.

Microsoft launches new AI PC Surface Pro and Laptop in South Korea

Microsoft said on Tuesday it will officially launch the new Surface Pro and Surface Laptop in South Korea and other markets. The company said the two new models use Qualcomm\'s Snapdragon X2 processor, allowing users to run on-device AI and use cloud-based AI. The Surface Pro is a 2-in-1 device with up to 15.5 hours of battery life and starts at 2,499,000 won. The Surface Laptop comes in 13.8-inch and 15-inch models, starting at 2,599,000 won.
