AI and cloud company MegazoneCloud said on Sept. 21 it has built a multi-cloud security system for Coway based on the Wiz solution from a global cloud security specialist.

MegazoneCloud completed the “Coway CNAPP (cloud native application protection platform) build” project to deploy the Wiz security solution across Coway’s companywide systems, and began operations on Sept. 18.

MegazoneCloud handled the process from designing security architecture tailored to Coway’s multi-cloud environment to building and integrating the Wiz solution, linking alerts to an in-house collaboration tool, and providing on-the-job training and technical support.

MegazoneCloud built an environment that allows integrated checks, under a single system, of the security status of Coway’s multi-cloud assets and development environment, including AWS and GCP infrastructure and GitHub.

Coway also changed its security inspection method. Previously, the security organisation conducted checks after system development was completed, but the Wiz system now enables Coway’s development and infrastructure organisations to conduct security checks directly from the early stages of development, MegazoneCloud explained.

Wui Soo-young (위수영), a unit head at HALO, MegazoneCloud’s security business organisation, said, “This Coway project is a case that actually implemented a system for checking security from the development stage based on Wiz.” He added, “MegazoneCloud will expand to multiple customers a system in which the entire organisation handles security together, based on capabilities that support the full process from security consulting to solution deployment.”
