Team Naver proposes AI factory partnership in France, expands to industrial AI and content

Team Naver is expanding cooperation with French companies and institutions on AI infrastructure, industry-focused AI and content. Naver said CEO Choi Soo-yeon (최수연) and Naver Cloud CEO Kim Yoo-won (김유원) met French media, IT, energy, mobility and finance executives during President Lee Jae-myung’s France trip. It proposed jointly building an AI factory in Europe and outlined plans for sector-specific AI and content partnerships, including webtoons and an IP adaptation fund.

Naver\'s Lee Hae-jin meets Brookfield chairman to discuss AI factory cooperation

Naver said its chairman Lee Hae-jin and CEO Choi Soo-yeon met Brookfield Corporation chairman Bruce Flatt and Brookfield Korea head Park Jun-woo at Naver 1784 in Seongnam on Sept. 3 to discuss a 1-gigawatt AI factory construction project. Brookfield, an alternative asset manager with more than $1 trillion under management, plans to invest up to $9 billion in the first 200-megawatt phase of the project promoted by Naver and Nvidia.

Nvidia Q2 net profit $59.7 billion, up 126 percent year on year

Nvidia posted fiscal 2027 second-quarter revenue of $96.2 billion and net profit of $59.7 billion, beating market expectations. Revenue rose 106 percent and net profit gained 126 percent from a year earlier, while gross margin increased to 75 percent. Data center revenue climbed to $89.0 billion, above a Bloomberg-compiled estimate. Nvidia forecast next-quarter revenue of $108.0 billion, plus or minus 2 percent, and said the outlook excludes China data center computing revenue.
