AI use in games expands beyond dev tools to live services as policy support grows
As AI use in the game industry expands from development tools to live services, the South Korean government is moving to expand support and refine systems. At a policy seminar in Seoul, NC AI and Krafton presented AI applications in game creation and live operations, including asset tools, lipsync, esports forecasting, anti-cheat and an AI companion. The Culture Ministry outlined funding plans and work on a draft AI content promotion law.

Grok 4.5 tops speed and cost in AI coding tool test
Grok 4.5 ranked first on speed and cost in a comparison test in which four AI coding models were asked to build apps using the same prompt. TryAI compared output quality, latency and costs for Grok 4.5, GPT-5.5, Claude Opus 4.8 and Claude Fable 5. Claude models performed best on a 3D Rubik’s Cube task, while GPT-5.5 led on a particle gravity sandbox. Grok 4.5 showed the clearest speed and cost advantage.

Korean game firms reshape leadership as mobile growth formula fades
Major South Korean game companies reshuffled top management and key organisations in the first half of this year, moving in different ways but with similar aims. The changes seek to reduce reliance on a mobile massively multiplayer online role-playing game growth formula and shift business structures toward global markets, PC and console games, and in-house intellectual property.
