China government warns of backdoor risk in Anthropic\'s Claude Code

China has warned that Anthropic\'s AI coding tool Claude Code has a security backdoor vulnerability. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said an inspection of its cyber security threat platform found the tool could create backdoor risks for corporate users. It also said Claude Code could transmit sensitive information to remote servers without user consent, including user location and identity details. The affected versions range from 2.1.91 to 2.1.196.

The filing shows 327 stock purchases on April 8. The White House said his assets are held in a fully discretionary account managed by an independent third-party institution. The disclosure also lists 2025 revenue of $2.24 billion from various sources.

Prediction market trading hits record highs as Polymarket, Kalshi set crypto volume records

Polymarket and Kalshi both set record daily trading volumes in their crypto categories on June 2, as the broader crypto market slumped. Polymarket posted $176 million and Kalshi $108 million, according to Cryptopolitan. Prediction market trading also expanded, with May turnover reaching a monthly record of $28.4 billion, led by Kalshi. Polymarket had a larger amount of locked capital, while new entrants such as Hyperliquid\'s HIP-4 launched outcome-based contracts.
