Apple Watch walkie-talkie feature missing from watchOS 27

Apple has excluded the Walkie-Talkie feature from the watchOS 27 developer beta for Apple Watch, TechRadar reported on June 11. Apple has not issued an official position on whether it will return. Introduced in 2018, the feature lets users exchange short voice messages with other Apple Watch users. Some users expressed disappointment, while others pointed to longstanding complaints about unstable connections and a lack of notable updates.

iOS 27 unveiled: 7 key features set to reshape iPhone performance

Apple has unveiled iOS 27 and signalled major feature upgrades for the iPhone, including an upgraded Siri AI, automatic password changes, stronger photo-editing tools and performance improvements. TechRadar reported the full release is due in September, with a developer beta available now and a public beta possibly in July. Siri AI will also come to the Camera app, though Apple said it will not be offered in the EU due to the Digital Markets Act.
