Kakao Piccoma adds short-form anime category to Japan mobile app

Kakao Piccoma is adding a short-form animation category to its Piccoma mobile application in Japan as it moves to diversify its intellectual property. Com2uS boosts profitability on baseball games, eyes H2 growth with Zeus and Crimson Inferno

Com2uS said it sharply improved first-quarter profitability, helped by growth in its baseball games and more efficient spending. It reported revenue of 144.7 billion won and operating profit of 5.1 billion won, while posting a net loss of 8.3 billion won due to valuation losses on investment assets. The company is targeting growth in the second half with the launches of MMORPG Zeus: The God of Pride and the anime IP-based Do-won Amgui Crimson Inferno.
