Major tech firms join race for decision AI models after Jev debut

The market for decision-focused AI models has shifted into a multi-player race after TypesafeAI, founded by former OpenAI employee Diogo Almeida, unveiled Jev in September. Unlike text-generating large language models, Jev returns decisions and probabilities from preset choices. OpenAI introduced a limited Decisions API, while AWS open-sourced Strands Decider 2B. Cloudflare launched Clef and Clef Flash, trained on Qwen models, and priced Clef at $0.24 per 1 million tokens.

Douzone Bizon to supply ONE AI PE for Seoul administrative support AI agent project

Douzone Bizon said on Thursday it will supply its generative AI platform, ONE AI Private Edition, for Seoul’s project to build administrative support AI agents. The company will provide the platform to the operator carrying out the project. Seoul plans to first build three agents for document summarisation, meeting room reservations and selecting proposal evaluation committee members, while also developing common functions used across departments.

IBM launches self-hosted deployment version of agentic software development platform IBM Bob

IBM said on Thursday it has launched a self-hosted deployment version of its agentic software development platform IBM Bob, allowing use in on-premise, private cloud, sovereign cloud and air-gapped environments. It said IBM Bob supports applying AI across software development and modernisation beyond code generation. The company said control over where AI runs, accessible data and governance is important for regulated industries adopting AI.
