IT information services company Hecto Innovation will take part in AI Festa 26, which runs from Oct. 6 to 8 at COEX in Seoul under the theme “AI, Becoming Reality. AI for Everyone.”
At the event, Hecto Innovation will operate a booth in the “Agentic AI+X Special Pavilion” under the theme “From hospital bill payments to trade payments, 24/7 stablecoin infrastructure.”
It plans to introduce various models for using digital assets while complying with regulations such as anti-money laundering (AML) and know-your-customer (KYC) procedures, based on acceptance of the Hecto Wallet One virtual asset service provider (VASP) filing.
Hecto Innovation will present a stablecoin payment model as an alternative to “rejections of overseas credit card payments” and “high currency exchange fees,” which have been cited as issues in attracting foreign patients. It will also seek medical-related collaboration partners in preparation for institutional improvements. At the booth, it will also introduce the status of infrastructure preparations for domestic payment demand, including medical expense payments by foreign visitors to South Korea, and for corporate trade payment remittance demand, where demand is expected to grow depending on future institutional improvements. It will also share practical guidelines and system structures to prepare for institutionalisation, including items to check when remitting treatment costs for foreign patients, points to note when processing corporate trade payments, how financial institutions integrate digital asset wallets, and the status of collaboration discussions centred on the medical sector.
Hecto Innovation has been continuously identifying and advancing group-wide collaboration models that can respond to demand for digital asset payments by using wallet and custody technology from its VASP, Hecto Wallet One, and electronic financial payment and settlement services from Hecto Financial.
A Hecto Innovation official said demand for stablecoins is emerging in foreign visitor medical bill payments and corporate trade remittances. The official said the company will proactively prepare the necessary infrastructure so digital assets can be used safely and legally in areas where demand emerges first, and will continue expanding cooperation with partners across industries, including medical institutions.
