Kakao to promote KakaoTalk AI services with Rescene

Kakao said on Tuesday it will launch a \"Let\'s Talk\" campaign with idol group Rescene to introduce KakaoTalk\'s AI services. Kakao will sequentially release videos in September showing everyday use of KakaoTalk AI functions, including \"Kanana\" summarising call content and \"Kanana in KakaoTalk\" organising appointment schedules in chat rooms. The videos will be available on KakaoTalk\'s official social media channels and in-app banners.

Gal Gadot appears in AI-made bitcoin film, says she cannot ignore AI

Hollywood actor Gal Gadot (갤 가돗) said she is appearing in an AI-assisted bitcoin-themed film but secured contractual protections to keep her acting separate from AI. She said negotiations for the film \"Bitcoin: Killing Satoshi\" took 6 months and that AI-related clauses were central. The $70 million thriller uses AI to create sets and lighting. Producer Ryan Kavanaugh said the approach saved more than $200 million versus traditional production.

Kakao prepares KakaoTalk-based integrated membership to bundle affiliate services

Kakao is preparing an integrated membership programme centred on KakaoTalk that links services and user benefits across its affiliates. Industry sources said the company is reviewing a membership covering shopping and commerce, mobility, content and entertainment, and finance and payments, with participation by key units under the new KakaoAI entity. Benefits and fees have not been set, and Kakao is also considering linking external services.
