SKC sets up CEO-led AX organization including units such as SK Nexilis

SKC is stepping up its push for artificial intelligence transformation. The company said it has launched a dedicated AX organization and will build a companywide system to use AI. SKC set up an AI Frontier task force under the CEO, with participation from SKC and investee affiliates including SK Nexilis, SK PIC Global, ISC, Absolics and SK REVO. The task force will develop projects, work with external experts, and set AI guidelines. SKC will also review generative AI tools and expand training.

AWS says agentic and physical AI expand possibilities, will keep investing aggressively in South Korea

Amazon Web Services highlighted agentic AI and physical AI as key themes at AWS Summit Seoul 2026 on May 19 and 20. AWS said AI is reshaping the software development lifecycle and expanding from the digital world into the physical world, and it is introducing new programs to support the shift. AWS Korea chief Ham Ki-ho cited domestic customer cases, while CFO John Felton said AWS plans cumulative investment of 12.6 trillion won in South Korea from 2018 to 2031.

SelectStar debuts Datumo AI reliability assessment platform in Japan

SelectStar said on Monday it will take part in the \'2026 AI Frontier Korea in Japan\' event on May 27 and unveil its automated AI reliability assessment solution, the Datumo platform. The event is hosted by South Korea\'s Industry Ministry and the Ministry of Science and ICT and organised by KOTRA. Datumo supports end-to-end verification of corporate AI services and includes automated evaluation and red-teaming tools.
