Amazon Web Services (AWS) said on Wednesday it will launch the AWS Korea Physical AI Frontier Program, a physical AI development programme.

The programme will run for six months from July to December 2026. It supports domestic companies in building, validating and commercialising physical AI solutions across robotics, autonomous driving, digital twins and industrial automation. Participating companies will work with AWS on a structured journey from proof of concept to commercialisation.

According to the company, the AWS Korea Physical AI Frontier Program combines cloud infrastructure and AI services, technical consulting and go-to-market support to help participating companies deliver physical AI solutions to customers more quickly. Participating companies will receive AWS credits that can be used for physical AI workloads. They will also collaborate with AWS experts at key stages of the development lifecycle, including data collection and processing, AI model training, simulation, Sim-to-Real deployment and intelligent agent orchestration.

The first cohort will be run in 2 tracks: an enterprise track and a startup track. The enterprise track includes SK ecoplant, NC AI, Alchera and LG CNS. The startup track includes Bone AI, Tomorrow Robotics, Gorero Robotics, Dideun Robotics, Robo A Technology, Kering, We Robotics, Config, Realworld, Cupix and Nearthlab.

AWS Korea CEO Ki-ho Ham (함기호) said, "AWS sees physical AI not as an extension of existing AI development, but as a completely new domain where intelligent systems directly perceive, reason, learn and act in the physical world. We are actively supporting domestic conglomerates and startups so they can lead the next wave in this domain." He said, "Korea is in a position to drive these changes, based on world-class manufacturing competitiveness, bold builders, and a vibrant startup ecosystem. The AWS Korea Physical AI Frontier Program was created to provide participating companies with technology, expertise and a global network so they can turn that potential into real commercialisation."
