Google cryptocurrency searches jump, hinting at retail investors\' return
Global Google searches related to cryptocurrencies have risen again in June 2026, a blockchain media outlet reported. The increase may be interpreted as a sign that retail investors who had been watching from the sidelines are preparing to re-enter the market. The outlet noted a sharp spike in late 2025 that coincided with bitcoin hitting a record high near $137,000. It said the latest rebound may carry different implications as bitcoin stabilises near $62,260.

Korea, Italy to step up cooperation on AI, quantum, robotics
South Korea will strengthen cooperation with Italy in advanced science and technology and ICT, including artificial intelligence, quantum and robotics. The Ministry of Science and ICT signed an MOU with Italy’s Ministry of Universities and Research in Rome on June 12 during President Lee Jae-myung’s state visit. The two sides plan joint research, researcher exchanges, policy sharing and joint use of research facilities. Cooperation in basic science and priorities for future collaboration were also discussed.
