[Digital Today Jin-ho Lee] LG Uplus said on Oct. 26 it won the Minister of Science and ICT Award, the grand prize in the corporate category, at the 2026 Korea SNS Awards hosted by the Korea Social Content Promotion Association.
The Korea SNS Awards is an awards ceremony that evaluates how companies and public institutions use social network services and their customer communication results. LG Uplus won the top prize in the telecom information service category last year and won the corporate grand prize, the highest award in the corporate category, this year.
Based on its brand slogan, “Simply. U+”, LG Uplus revamped its official SNS channels with a focus on customer experience. It produced content that explains telecom services and technology in an easy way and expanded participatory content so customers can share opinions and experiences.
It also strengthened operating strategies that reflect the characteristics of each channel. On Instagram, it ran magazine-style feeds and participatory content. On LinkedIn, it provided information related to AI transformation and technology and business. On TikTok, it expanded short-form content and collaborations with creators. It used its newsroom as a channel to provide information about the brand and AI and technology.
LG Uplus explained that it received high marks for expanding customer participation through content tailored to customer interests and channel-specific operating strategies.
Hee-jin Kim (김희진), head of the brand marketing team at LG Uplus, said, “This award is the result of our efforts being recognized for consistently embedding people-centered values in our content and communication methods.” She added, “We will continue to develop SNS as an important touchpoint where we create the brand’s value and experiences together with customers.”
