NFT market cap retreats to 2021 levels, falls to around $1.5 billion
The NFT market has fallen back to levels seen before 2021, Cointelegraph reported on Thursday. It said NFT market capitalisation dropped to below $1.5 billion as the broader cryptocurrency market weakened. CoinGecko data show the crypto market cap fell to $2.2 trillion from $3.1 trillion over the past two weeks, while bitcoin and ether also declined. NFT issuance rose in 2025, but volumes and average prices fell.

China bans stablecoin and RWA issuance by foreign and domestic firms
China has imposed a blanket ban on issuing yuan-based stablecoins and real-world asset (RWA) tokens, Cointelegraph reported on Thursday. The report said the People’s Bank of China and seven regulators issued a joint statement prohibiting unapproved issuance of stablecoins and RWAs. The measure applies equally to foreign and domestic firms. The move comes as China promotes the digital yuan and follows a pause in related private-sector experiments in 2025.

Galaxy Digital approves up to $200 million share buyback
Galaxy Digital has approved a 12-month share buyback program for up to $200 million of its Class A common shares, Cointelegraph reported. The repurchases may be made in the open market or through privately negotiated transactions under a 10b5-1 plan. Galaxy is not required to buy a specific amount and can halt the program at any time. The company is listed on Nasdaq and the Toronto Stock Exchange.
