LG HelloVision said on Tuesday it has launched a genre-focused VOD streaming service called the "monthly subscription zone" on its cable TV service Hello tv.
As its first service, it partnered with Asia content-focused programming provider (PP) AsiaN to roll out a Chinese drama-only zone.
The service is available on Hello tv channel 133. Monthly subscribers who enter the channel can continuously play popular Chinese dramas such as "Taepyeongnyeon," "Suryong-eum" and "Heoneo" without additional controls.
Hong Won-deok (홍원덕), head of LG HelloVision's consumer group, said the company will continue to expand genre-focused products through partnerships with specialist PP companies and strengthen tailored content experiences for customers.
