Bitwise enters DeFi market with Morpho-based onchain vault strategy

Bitwise Asset Management has entered decentralised finance by launching its first onchain vault strategy based on the Morpho protocol, aiming for a 6 percent annual return in USDC, The Block reported. Multi-strategy head Jonathan Mann said the firm plans to diversify into other stablecoins, crypto assets, tokenised real-world assets, decentralised exchange liquidity provision and yield farming. Bitwise called the approach “ETF 2.0” and forecast its assets under management would double.

BlackRock to launch income-focused bitcoin ETF

BlackRock is preparing a new bitcoin exchange-traded fund, The Block reported on Jan. 26. A filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission shows the product is registered as the iShares Bitcoin Premium Income ETF. It would hold spot bitcoin as its main underlying asset while selling call options to collect option premiums. The ticker and listing schedule have not been decided.

As the cryptocurrency market searches for direction, bull-market targets for major altcoins are drawing attention again. Open4profit founder Zia ul Haque projected Ethereum could reach $7,000 and Dogecoin $2, arguing XRP could rise to at least $5. Other analysts and AI models cited forecasts from $4 to $10, with more aggressive scenarios extending to $15 to $20 or higher. Changelly and Telegaon offered differing timelines and price targets.
