Hana Bank expands support for small merchants with mid-to-low credit in Incheon with 91.5 billion won guarantees

Hana Bank will expand financial support for small merchants with mid-to-low credit in Incheon. The bank said on Aug. 27 it will make an additional 500 million won special contribution to the Incheon Credit Guarantee Foundation and strengthen inclusive finance support for local small business owners. The move expands a financial support programme launched in March. The bank’s contributions this year will rise to 6 billion won, and agreed guarantees via the foundation will increase to 91.5 billion won.

LG to refund up to 300 won per hour in electricity fees for appliance use

LG Electronics said on Wednesday it signed a memorandum of understanding with Korea Electric Power to 추진 a pilot “smart appliance cashback” project. Customers who use certain LG appliances during designated hours in spring and autumn can receive refunds based on electricity use, up to 300 won per hour. The refund is deducted automatically from the electricity bill through KEPCO’s energy cashback service. Eligible products include washers, dryers, dishwashers, stylers and combined washer-dryers.

Cafe24 to hold creator commerce conference

Cafe24 said it will hold a commerce conference for creators on Sept. 10 at the CCC Cube Convention Center in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. The event, titled "Cafe24 CREATOR STEP UP 2026," will cover practical strategies for expanding into commerce. It will feature nine sessions on product sourcing, building online stores, planning and producing private brand items, OEM and ODM manufacturing, brand collaboration, content IP marketing and advertising growth.
