NHN CEO Jung Woo-jin declares 'new growth year' to lift corporate value, launch six new titles

NHN CEO Jung Woo-jin has declared 2026 the group’s first year of new growth, saying its corporate value will make a step-up. In a New Year message to employees, he said NHN would pursue growth in core businesses including games, technology and payments. The company plans to strengthen its web-board games position and release six new titles, while focusing its technology strategy on AI through NHN Cloud and expanding SaaS and groupware in Japan. Payments and content units will also pursue new businesses and investment.

November online shopping hits record 24.2 trillion won on delivery, groceries and travel

South Korea's online shopping transaction value climbed to a record 24.2 trillion won in November 2025, up 6.8 percent from a year earlier, the National Data Agency said on Thursday. Food service transactions rose 13.7 percent on free-delivery marketing, while groceries gained 10.1 percent and travel and transport services increased 8.5 percent. Mobile shopping rose 7.9 percent to a record 18.6 trillion won, accounting for 77.0 percent of total value.
