Wegofair, an AI-based intellectual property protection solutions company, said on Thursday it will form a consortium with patent law firm The Wave and run Seoul AI Hub's "2026 AI transformation (AX) support programme".
The programme, led by Seoul AI Hub's Industrial AX Innovation Center, aims for supplier companies with AI technology and demand companies that need AI adoption to form consortia, apply AI to real industrial sites and link the results to commercialisation and market expansion.
Wegofair and The Wave plan to use the programme to advance Wegofair's AI-based automated detection solution for counterfeits to fit patent law firms' work responding to intellectual property infringement, and apply it at real sites for proof of concept testing.
If the collaboration leads to the commercialisation stage, the two companies said they expect it to establish a basis for patent law firms to protect more quickly and efficiently the brand value of domestic corporate clients in areas based on intellectual property rights such as fashion, beauty and content.
Wegofair plans to use the programme to enhance services optimised for the work of patent law firms and law firms and expand partnerships, including jointly developing business models with them.
Jong-myeon Kim (김종면), chief executive of Wegofair, said the work of responding to counterfeits at patent law firms is repetitive and time-consuming, but plays a key role in protecting corporate brand value. He said the Seoul AI Hub AX support programme will enable the company to automate that work with AI with The Wave and contribute to creating an environment in which domestic fashion, beauty and content companies can grow their brands with peace of mind.
