MSIT to conduct nationwide survey of internet equipment power use in apartment complexes
South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT, the Korea Telecommunication Operators Association and the Korea Cable TV & Broadcasting Association will launch a nationwide survey into the use of shared electricity by internet equipment installed in apartment complexes. Internet service providers should in principle pay the common-area power bills, but some residents have borne the costs due to unclear responsibility. The ministry will set detailed plans including compensation and measures to prevent recurrence, with telecom and some cable operators participating.

Jung Myeongsoo of Panacea wins January Korea science and technology award
South Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Research Foundation selected Jung Myeongsoo, CEO of Panacea and a chair professor at KAIST, as the January recipient of the Korea Science and Technology Award. The ministry said it upgraded the award’s name this year. Jung was recognized for modular AI data center architecture and link technologies based on CXL that improve scalability and operational flexibility, and for outlining integration of accelerator links and HBM.

Kodiak AI teams up with Bosch to pursue large-scale commercialisation of autonomous trucks
Autonomous trucking company Kodiak AI has partnered with German automotive parts supplier Bosch to scale production and broaden supply of hardware and sensors for autonomous trucks. The companies plan to jointly develop a modular hardware-software platform centred on Kodiak Driver that can convert existing trucks via factory production lines and third-party customisation. Kodiak AI has already delivered autonomous trucks to Atlas Energy Solutions and is working with Roush Industries to supply further orders.
