Fundstrat's Tom Lee says AI investment money shifting from memory chips to Ethereum

Ethereum could be the next beneficiary asset in the artificial intelligence investment cycle, as early signs suggest AI-related money is shifting from chipmakers, especially memory-chip stocks, to Ethereum, an analysis said. Fundstrat's Tom Lee cited a 72 percentage-point one-month performance gap between Ethereum and the Roundhill Memory ETF. Platform industry to update self-regulation principles for search and recommendation services as AI spreads

South Korea's platform industry will update self-regulation principles for search and recommendation services in response to the spread of AI. The updated principles will reflect new risk factors such as AI model changes, supply interruptions, data processing and responsibility structures, and the industry plans to continue compliance checks. A Ministry of Science and ICT-supported platform self-regulatory body held a meeting in Seoul attended by platform firms, advisers and OpenAI and Anthropic.

Korean banks' loan delinquency rate rises to 0.67%; SME delinquency tops 1 percent

South Korean banks' delinquency rate on won-denominated loans rose for a second straight month, driven by an increase in new delinquencies and a decline in the amount of delinquent loans written off or sold. The Financial Supervisory Service said the rate stood at 0.67% at end-May, up 0.06 percentage point from a month earlier. The delinquency rate on SME loans rose to 1.00%, while household loan delinquencies increased to 0.45%.
