Naver to support digital transformation for 10,000 Place merchants, offer tools for external brand stores

Naver said on Wednesday it will roll out support programmes to extend its online digital transformation experience to offline merchants and an AI transformation ecosystem. From June, it will provide on-site consulting for 10,000 Naver Place merchants a year to help them datafy and analyse operations such as visits, orders, reservations and payments. It will also run Place School training, expand support for Smart Store sellers, widen AdVoost coverage and provide tools for external brand stores.

Hancom holds Hancom Typing Pandwijoobgi nationwide regional competition

Hancom said on Wednesday it has launched a nationwide competition for users of its Hancom Typing game “Pandwijoobgi.” The online preliminary round will run for 5 months through August, rotating monthly regional themes from Gangwon and Jeju in April to Chungcheong in August. The event reflects city names, local specialties, tourist attractions and dialects in in-game keywords and bonus sentences. Monthly winners receive ranking exposure, exclusive items and a spot in the final.

KOSPI rises for third session on hopes of U.S.-Iran end-of-war talks

South Korean stocks were extending gains for a third straight session on Wednesday, supported by expectations for U.S.-Iran end-of-war negotiations. The KOSPI was up 1.06 percent at 6,156.01 by 9:10 a.m., after opening higher and widening its advance. Retail investors and institutions were net buyers, while foreigners were net sellers. Most heavyweight shares were higher. The won edged up against the dollar in onshore trade.
