Dow Jones has reflected Polymarket data in content including The Wall Street Journal, and CNN and CNBC have used Kalshi data. The Verge said betting data is not news and noted insider trading allegations.

OpenAI's first hardware to be camera-equipped smart speaker, priced $200 to $300

A report says OpenAI plans to launch a smart speaker as its first hardware product in 2027. The OpenAI-branded device is expected to include a camera and a facial recognition system in addition to ChatGPT features, with a price estimated at $200 to $300. OpenAI expanded into hardware by buying a company founded by Jony Ive for $6.5 billion last year and is developing the speaker for a March 2027 launch.

U.S. falls behind in EV race, risking becoming auto industry backwater

The U.S. auto industry has fallen behind in the global electric vehicle shift after recording $50 billion in losses from a failed transition, The Verge reported. Ford lost $19.5 billion, General Motors $7.6 billion and Stellantis $26.6 billion. The report said the problem was not consumer rejection but automakers’ lack of seriousness. It added that ending EV tax credits and easing emissions rules worsened the situation.
