[Digital Today reporter Chi-gyu Hwang (황치규)] Cybersecurity and cloud company Akamai Technologies said on Tuesday it is unveiling Akamai Workforce Protector, an existing platform security layer that protects applications, APIs and infrastructure.
The company said Akamai Workforce Protector targets security threats that arise when interacting with AI. It provides visibility, AI use controls, secure enterprise browser functions and real-time data loss prevention (DLP). It supports real-time AI governance, zero-disruption deployment and real-time data protection.
It performs control functions at points where members of an organisation interact with AI, SaaS, the web, private applications and corporate data.
For real-time AI governance, it identifies Shadow AI usage, controls how employees use AI tools and immediately applies adaptive policies within browser sessions. Zero-disruption deployment rolls out controls without user friction. Users do not need to change browsers, and companies do not need to redesign their network architecture, the company said.
