Castle launches service to automatically buy bitcoin with Strategy STRC preferred stock dividends

U.S. bitcoin management service provider Castle has introduced a function that automatically converts dividends from Strategy's STRC preferred shares into bitcoin. Users can receive dividends in cash, convert all of them into bitcoin, or split them at a chosen ratio. Strategy still pays STRC dividends in cash, and Castle executes bitcoin purchases based on user settings. Strategy said the annual dividend rate applied after September 2026 is 12 percent, reviewed monthly.

South Korea steps up preparations for AIDC special act, science ministry seeks views on subordinate rules

South Korea's Ministry of Science and ICT has gathered views from industry and academia to set detailed standards for the Special Act on Promoting the AI Data Center Industry. The ministry held a public forum in Seoul on Sept. 9 to discuss subordinate regulations ahead of the law's implementation on March 10, 2027. Topics included the scope of AIDC recognition, reporting for construction and operation, streamlined permits, facility and power-related exceptions, and procedures and support for special zone designations.

Korea Post parcels accepted at CU convenience stores with pickup and delivery by postal carriers

Customers in South Korea will be able to send Korea Post parcels from nearby CU convenience stores, under a new service starting Sept. 10. The Ministry of Science and ICT’s Postal Service signed an agreement with BGF Retail on Sept. 9 to launch the service. Postal carriers will visit participating CU stores to collect accepted items and deliver them after postal acceptance procedures. The partners also run an app-based home pickup service and provide carrier rest areas at 174 CU directly operated stores.
