MWC26: SKT CEO Jung Jae-heon tests Galaxy S26, jokes film makers are done
SK Telecom CEO Jung Jae-heon expressed surprise at Samsung Electronics’ device technology after trying the Galaxy S26. Samsung President Roh Tae-moon voiced confidence in the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s privacy display and promised continued cooperation. At MWC26 in Barcelona, Jung toured Samsung’s booth with Roh and tested Galaxy AI features, including Buds4, Galaxy XR and Galaxy Watch functions. Jung also visited Xiaomi and viewed smart home and vehicle demos.

LG Uplus CEO Hong Beom-sik showed strong interest in Samsung Electronics’ Galaxy S26 series and next-generation devices at MWC26 in Barcelona. He toured the booth with Samsung President Roh Tae-moon, focusing on the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s privacy display and asking about masking parts of apps. Hong also tried Galaxy Buds 4 Pro and an XR headset, praising sound quality, immersion and what he described as a lighter weight.

Rising tensions around the Strait of Hormuz have sent oil prices sharply higher and could weigh on financial markets including bitcoin, blockchain media BeInCrypto reported on March 2. U.S. President Donald Trump forecast the military conflict with Iran would last at least four weeks. Maersk halted transits through the strait, while Goldman Sachs said oil could rise by as much as $15 a barrel, with possible gains to $120 to $150. Higher oil could fuel inflation, spur rate hikes and tighten crypto liquidity.
