Trump crypto adviser teases further announcement on Bitcoin reserve within weeks

Further announcements on a U.S. strategic Bitcoin reserve are expected within weeks. Blockchain outlet CoinPost reported that Trump administration crypto adviser Patrick Witt said at CoinDesk’s Consensus conference that he would disclose new progress in the coming weeks. The focus is seen as protecting and legally supporting Bitcoin already held, rather than buying more. The U.S. government is said to hold 328,372 BTC, and legislation in Congress is also being discussed.
