Shinsung E&G posts 2.2 billion won Q1 operating loss, down 57.4 percent year on year

Shinsung E&G said it posted first-quarter revenue of 153.7 billion won and an operating loss of 2.2 billion won. Sales rose 32.1 percent from a year earlier and the operating loss narrowed 57.4 percent. It cited temporary factors in both business units, including market supply disruptions and shipment delays in renewable energy and start-up costs and deferred sales in clean environment. First-quarter orders jumped 203 percent year on year.

RLWRLD unveils 'RLDX-1' robotics foundation model

Physical AI company RLWRLD said on Wednesday it unveiled its in-house robotics foundation model, RLDX-1. The company released three 8.1B-parameter variants, including a pre-training checkpoint and two platform-specific mid-training checkpoints, and made model weights, training code and technical documents available to external researchers via GitHub and Hugging Face. RLWRLD said the model processes vision, language, torque, touch and task memory, and highlighted its Multi-Stream Action Transformer architecture.

Dtonic registers patents on automated workflow generation and parallel processing for heterogeneous accelerators

AI platform company Dtonic said on Wednesday it has registered two patents designed to reduce technical bottlenecks that arise during corporate AI transformation, or AX. The patents cover automatic workflow generation based on ontology and user intent recognition, and parallel query processing that links heterogeneous accelerators using a hierarchical spatial index. Dtonic said the technologies target limitations in applying AI models to business environments, including complex design and slow processing speeds.
