Standard Kernel raises $20 million seed to automatically optimise GPU performance with AI

AI-based GPU software optimisation startup Standard Kernel has raised $20 million in seed funding. VentureBeat reported that Jump Capital led the round, with participation from General Catalyst, Felicis, Cowboy Ventures, Link Ventures, Essence VC, CoreWeave and Ericsson Ventures. The company says it automatically generates specialised GPU kernels using AI to help firms optimise GPU use. It plans to use the funds to speed development of an autonomous kernel-generation platform and adaptive system software.
