Woori Financial Group will invest a total of 3 billion won over 10 years through 2036 to foster promising young athletes. It plans to support the growth of future national team athletes through a long-term social contribution programme that finds and supports 60 young athletes each year.
Woori Financial said on Sept. 21 it held the 2026 Woori Momocon at Seoul Land in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province, on Sept. 19 and officially announced a long-term support plan for Woori Dream Bridge, its sports prospect development project.
A Woori Dream Bridge launch ceremony was held at the event, attended by Woori Financial Chairman Yim Jong-yong (임종룡), Woori Bank brand ambassador Jang Won-young (장원영) and singer Sean (션).
Sean delivered the Woori Dream Light, which symbolises the prospects' hopes, to the stage. Yim and Jang lit it together, marking the start of the long-term sponsorship project.
Woori Dream Bridge supports promising young athletes who face constraints in training and competition due to financial difficulties. Woori Financial plans to invest a total of 3 billion won through 2036, identify 60 athletes each year and support them so they can grow into future national team members.
Yim said the fourth Woori Momocon had developed beyond existing sharing events into a social contribution concert that adds sport. He said the group would actively pursue the Woori Dream Bridge project and continue its social responsibility.
