LG Uplus said on Sept. 21 it ran a creator capability-building programme in Tokyo for 12 top performers from its creator community, Uplus Boostus (U+BOOSTUS).

Participants visited Meta’s local office and joined a content production workshop and a session on global creator trends. They reviewed methods for planning and producing content, strategies for using platforms and ways to expand content reach. They also shared content trends and production know-how that are drawing attention on global platforms.

The programme also included trying the latest devices such as Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses and Meta Quest. Participants looked at ways the devices could be used in content planning, filming and production, and shared production experience with one another.

During their stay in Tokyo, they also used LG Uplus roaming services such as Ixio Roaming Call and Roaming Pass. Participants plan to produce content tailored to their channel characteristics about the content production environment and roaming services they experienced locally.

Uplus Boostus is a creator community programme that LG Uplus has operated since 2023. After directly using LG Uplus products and services, creators introduce their related experiences on their channels. About 260 creators are currently active, and they have produced about 4,700 pieces of content so far.

Kim Hee-jin (김희진), head of the Brand Marketing Team at LG Uplus, said, "We will continue to expand education and collaboration opportunities so creators can directly experience new technologies and global content trends and strengthen their creative capabilities."
