Broadcast Media Communications Committee to support ad production costs for 23 SMEs

South Korea's Broadcast Media Communications Committee selected 23 small and medium-sized companies for the first round of its 2026 broadcast advertising production support programme. The committee will cover up to 50 percent of TV ad production costs, capped at 45 million won, and up to 70 percent of radio ad production costs, capped at 3 million won. It also offers customised consulting. A separate selection for small merchants is due in April.

Qualcomm says AI is new UI, steps up full-stack on-device AI push

Qualcomm said AI will become the new user interface as it expands its on-device AI strategy from smartphones into PCs. The company set out three requirements for on-device AI: fast response, privacy protection and power efficiency, and highlighted its Hexagon NPU. It also described a three-layer approach spanning SoC, operating system and apps, and said more than 100 NPU-optimised apps are available. Qualcomm also detailed its co-design partnership with Samsung and unveiled Korean retail and IT partners for its PC push.

Ethereum could collapse at once as leverage ratio hits record high

Warnings are emerging about rising volatility in the Ethereum market as leverage surges. CryptoQuant data cited by BeInCrypto showed Binance's estimated leverage ratio for Ethereum hit a record 0.751, implying about 75 percent of trading uses leverage. Analysts said the build-up occurred quickly without a price correction, suggesting derivatives may have driven the rise. They noted past high-leverage periods can trigger chain liquidations, with $19 billion seen in October last year.
